Northvolt’s battery plant in Skellefteå plays a pivotal role in driving the green transformation of Northern Sweden. Scaling from ground zero to 2,500 employees with a groundbreaking large-scale factory, at an unprecedented speed, brings many thrilling challenges. Since the summer of 2023, Altio’s Senior Consultant, Anna Magnusson, has been an integral part of Northvolt’s Facility and Utilities department. “Navigating the unique intricacies of this endeavor is both fascinating and demanding. Being a piece in this complex puzzle and contributing to its continual improvement is truly rewarding,” says Anna, who has an undeniable passion for leadership and business development.
Recognizing the need for a more structured approach to steer the organization through its rapid growth, Northvolt outlined the mission in three pivotal areas:
Initially, Anna focused on integrating new leaders at different levels, refining meeting structures, and optimizing operational management. The process has taken place in close partnership with Northvolt’s business development department. While most methods and outcomes are based on long-term development, the second employee survey of the year already showcased improvements in almost all facets.
The collaboration remains steadfast, committed on creating long-term positive effects throughout the entire organization.
